Mayor Rybak Promotes Free Weekend Holiday Parking
Pokes Fun at Himself and Governor Palin On YouTube Video
MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Last week, Mayor R.T. Rybak was honored for his work as a strong champion of transportation improvements in the region by the Minnesota Transportation Alliance at the group’s Annual Meeting.
This week, he’s up on YouTube, poking fun about his own driving while letting the Metro area in on an early holiday gift from Brookfield Properties--FREE parking at Gaviidae Common, every Saturday and Sunday, from Thanksgiving to Christmas. That’s right, FREE. Climate controlled, valet, FREE parking. Completely FREE (no strings, no catch, no minimum purchase).
The short video can be seen on: www.parkfreeatgc.com, where visitors are encouraged to also join the Park Free at GC Facebook Group. It can also be accessed directly on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wIAPJD5s_w.
In the video, the Mayor is shown entering and exiting the ramps, exploring Gaviidae’s many unique boutiques, including Styled Life, Romeo and Juliet, Pacifier, Len Druskin Man, Drama and 20+ more. He pokes a little fun at Gov. Sarah Palin standing outside Neiman Marcus, and pokes a little more fun at himself, as he exits the ramp.
Gaviidae Common, anchored by Saks Off Fifth and Neiman Marcus, spreads two full blocks along Nicollet Mall between 7th Street and 5th Street. The parking ramps are entered on 6th Street, half-way between Nicollet Mall and Marquette on the right hand side (you can see the Brueggers Bagel shop just before the entry) or on 5th Street, heading from Marquette towards Nicollet, directly across the street from the Light Rail Station at Neiman Marcus.
