O3b Networks introduces bundled IP trunking solution for Telcos and ISPs
--Special pre-launch offering integrates ground equipment, space segment and teleport access for easy connection to the global Internet backbone--
ST. JOHN, JERSEY, Channel Islands--(BUSINESS WIRE)--O3b Networks Ltd. today introduced its first turn-key offering. ‘Quick Start Africa’ is a, Carrier Managed Service designed for Telcos and ISPs on the African continent who need a high capacity, ultra low latency, carrier class IP trunking solution.
“Our integrated Quick Start offering is the simplest way for telcos and ISPs to connect their networks to the global internet”
Through its constellation of MEO satellites available in late 2010, O3b Networks will provide low-latency IP trunking and cellular backhaul solutions to Telcos and ISPs in emerging markets worldwide.
‘Quick Start Africa’ enables Telcos to purchase an integrated package of ground equipment, space segment and teleport access at special pre-launch pricing, in advance of service activation. By reserving capacity now, Telcos will ensure they get the high-bandwidth and low-latency access to the internet upon service activation in 2010
Quick Start provides a significant pricing advantage over alternative trunking solutions.
“Our integrated Quick Start offering is the simplest way for telcos and ISPs to connect their networks to the global internet,” said John Finney, EVP of Sales and Marketing for O3b Networks. “With Quick Start’s unrivaled price/performance for IP trunking to the global fiber network, operators will be able to provide their customers the benefits of a low-latency internet experience while managing their CapEx and OpEx costs.”
Finney added, “We expect this convenient new solution will enable telcos and ISPs to quickly take advantage of the O3b Networks system, thereby helping them immediately reduce one of their largest barriers to offering true low cost high-speed Internet connectivity throughout the African continent.”
Quick Start provides a bundled solution of equipment and services starting at STM-1 or TCP/IP equivalent . For more information on this new service, please visit www.o3bnetworks.com.
