New York Titans Bring Lacrosse to Prudential Center
Team Opens Doors to Arena for Fan Friendly Day and Sticks-N-School Program
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The New York Titans professional indoor lacrosse franchise today announced that it will play five of its seven home games during the 2009 season at the Prudential Center in downtown Newark, NJ. The Titans two remaining games will be played at Madison Square Garden on Sunday February 15th against the Rochester Knighthawks and February 28th versus the Philadelphia Wings.
The Titans also announced that on Saturday, November 22nd the Prudential Center will open its doors at 10 a.m. for fan friendly day of activities including a unique select-a-seat program, celebrity judged auditions for its “Sirens” dance team, youth box lacrosse games showcasing teams from New Jersey and a pre-season Titans blue versus orange inter-squad scrimmage.
Throughout the season, Titan players will be visiting tri-state area schools as part of its “Sticks-N-School” program. This program will introduce and teach lacrosse to grade school children and provide free equipment (balls and sticks) to the schools. East Side High School in Newark, NJ, will be the first school to take part in this ground breaking community program.

The New York Titans are one of 13 teams which compete in the National Lacrosse League (NLL), North America’s premier professional indoor lacrosse league. The league features high scoring, action packed games which are fan friendly and affordable to most families. Ticket prices range from $15 to $75 for premium seating.
