Travelocity Incentives Introduces the Travelocity Vacation Gift Card Heading into Holiday Season
Program Now Features More than 55,000 Participating Hotels Worldwide
SOUTHLAKE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Just in time for shoppers looking to give the gift of travel this holiday season, Travelocity's licensee, Travelocity Incentives, has expanded its industry-leading gift card program (www.travelocityincentives.com) to now include vacation packages, allowing travelers to dynamically build a custom-made trip by combining flights, hotels, car rentals and/or activities. Additionally, the number of participating hotels in Travelocity’s gift card program has increased to 55,000, more than 10 times the number of hotels featured by any other travel-themed gift card.
Travelocity Incentives, which exclusively represents the Travelocity brand to the third-party gift card distribution for employee incentives and consumer loyalty programs, lets consumers redeem hotel and vacation package gift cards for confirmed reservations at all major brands and thousands of independent hotels in more than 140 countries worldwide. And unlike other travel offerings, consumers will not be affected by blackout dates - if the hotel room or vacation package is available online, it can be booked immediately.
The new Travelocity vacation gift card is available in denominations ranging from $250 to $5,000 while the hotel gift card is now offered in denominations up to $1,000.
“There are no other travel-themed gift cards available that have the reach of ours and that are backed by a low-price guarantee and outstanding customer service,” said David Larsen, vice president business development for Travelocity. “And customers booking a flight + hotel vacation from Travelocity save an average of $315.00 per trip compared to when they book the flight, hotel, car rental, and/or activities separately.”
Employee programs with global workforce have also taken advantage of the tremendous coverage the Travelocity gift cards offer throughout the world.
“Our first customer launched the program as an incentive in 27 countries for their global sales force and is thrilled with the ease that Travelocity Incentives offers to their diverse employee base throughout the world,” said Peter Friend, founder and CEO of Travelocity Incentives. “We are now building new individual incentive products such as a one-night stay certificate and look forward to rolling them out soon.”
