Telstra and Jamcracker Partner to Deliver On-Demand Business Applications
Australia’s Leading Telecom Carrier Deploys Jamcracker Delivery Network to Broaden Portfolio of IP Services for Small Businesses
SYDNEY, Australia & SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Telstra, Australia's leading telecommunications and information services company, and Jamcracker, the on-demand services delivery company, today announced a partnership to provide on-demand software and IP services to small and medium businesses (SMBs) throughout Australia.
“By tying into the Jamcracker Services Delivery Network, carriers can simultaneously supply on-demand applications directly to small businesses and provide easy to set-up WebStores that enable their channel of agents and resellers to make click through sales.”
Telstra, which offers fixed and wireless voice services, broadband, and IPTV, will use the Jamcracker Services Delivery Network (JSDN) to provide new IP services, including Jamcracker-provided SaaS applications, bundled with existing Telstra on-demand services. Telstra will also on-board local Australian SaaS applications that are not yet part of the JSDN catalog.
“Small businesses no longer want the expense of having to buy, deploy and manage their own software,” said Deena Shiff, group managing director, Telstra Business. “Our partnership with Jamcracker enables us to deliver a full range of business applications, just as we deliver our traditional telecom services – as an on-demand service for a monthly subscription fee.”
Telstra will offer these application services under the T-Suite brand, alongside traditional mobile and fixed line communications services, providing name-brand software applications that Telstra customers can mix and match with voice, data, and internet access services. T-Suite is on the web at http://www.telstrabusiness.com/business/portal/online/site/productsservices/tsuiteapplications.52025.
Full Line Up of Business Applications
The Jamcracker-Telstra partnership will initially deliver services designed to meet the security and collaboration needs of SMBs. T-Suite’s first set of services include on-demand security offerings from McAfee and MessageLabs, online data backup from Iron Mountain, Hosted Exchange messaging and SharePoint collaboration services from Microsoft, as well as Microsoft Dynamics hosted CRM.
“Our partnership with Telstra is indicative of the value and speed-to-market Jamcracker provides to large carriers,” said Steve Crawford, vice president of marketing for Jamcracker. “By tying into the Jamcracker Services Delivery Network, carriers can simultaneously supply on-demand applications directly to small businesses and provide easy to set-up WebStores that enable their channel of agents and resellers to make click through sales.”
