New CFO Brings over 18 Years Experience as Senior Financial Executive and Manager
BURLINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--expressor software, the leader in semantic data integration, today announced that Melinda Smith has joined the company as chief financial officer. Melinda brings extensive financial management, administration and strategic experience to expressor, which have contributed significantly to the growth of public and private companies. She will be responsible for leading expressor’s financial and administrative operations including financial reporting and control, investor relations, human resources and legal affairs. Ms. Smith will report to Bob Potter, expressor software’s CEO.

Ms. Smith has more than 18 years of experience in financial administration. Previously she served as director of finance at Aspen Technology (Nasdaq: AZPN), the leading provider of software and services to the processing industries. Melinda held several positions at Aspen Technology, most recently directing the company’s financial and billing operations managing over 30 employees. She also led the business process and controls group with oversight for process improvement and the Sarbanes Oxley program.
Prior to joining Aspen Technology, she was chief financial officer at edocs, a leading provider of self-service, online billing and payment solutions. edocs was named the fastest growing software company in New England with five year revenue growth of 977% and was sold to Siebel Systems, now part of Oracle, in 2005. Melinda led the financial initiatives related to edocs’ rapid growth and expansion into worldwide markets. Earlier in her career, she was VP of Finance at Gradient Technologies and before then worked in public accounting at Price Waterhouse in the high-technology practice group. Ms. Smith holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan.
