Sitar Company Brokers Named New Jersey’s “2008 All-Star Commercial Real Estate Brokers”

ISELIN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sitar Company, a leading New Jersey commercial real estate firm, today announced that Joseph Nitti, Douglas J. Sitar and William Sitar III have been named “2008 All-Star Commercial Real Estate Brokers” by Real Estate New Jersey.

The “2008 All-Star Commercial Real Estate Broker” rankings are awarded by Real Estate New Jersey, a monthly commercial real estate magazine, to New Jersey brokers who have demonstrated excellence in notable real estate transactions. Recipients will also be honored at an Awards Dinner on October 16, 2008 hosted by Real Estate New Jersey.

Joseph Nitti, 42, President, Industrial Division, joined Sitar in 2005 with more than 16 years of experience in industrial property acquisitions and dispositions. Among his recent transactions, Mr. Nitti leased an industrial space valued at $5 million and, in 2000; he was responsible for the longest single lease transaction in the United States. Mr. Nitti is President of the New Jersey chapter of the Council of Logistics Management and President of the American Society of Trucking and Logistics. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, N.Y.

Douglas J. Sitar, 35, Vice President, Sitar Company, has been with the company since 2000. A licensed New Jersey attorney, Mr. Sitar uses his knowledge and experience with laws governing corporate financing and real estate transactions to provide clients with a competitive advantage in corporate and commercial real estate. Included among his recent transactions are a leasing deal of 375,000 square feet of office space at One River Centre, a ground lease sale to Mack-Cali Realty Corporation and a 330,000 square feet industrial lease to Taylored Packaging for their corporate headquarters. He holds a J.D. from the Vermont Law School in South Royalton, VT and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont in Burlington, VT.

William Sitar III, Esq., 42, Vice President, joined Sitar in 2002 with 15 years of real estate development, brokerage and legal experience. Mr. Sitar is a member of both the New Jersey and Pennsylvania State Bar Associations and has had statements published in the New Jersey Tax Court Reports and Superior Court Reports. Most recently, he assisted on the development of a power center for a 17 acre site in Neptune Township, N.J., which holds tenants such as Home Depot, Office Depot, Walgreen’s, J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, Marriot Hotels and McDonald’s. He has also been involved with the 600 Block in Asbury Park, N.J., a redevelopment program of inner city projects including six buildings and 35 tenants. Mr. Sitar holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from St. Peter’s College in Jersey City, N.J., a J.D. from Seton Hall University in South Orange, N.J. and a Bachelor’s degree from Boston College.
