TA Technician Stars in Supertechs Competition

WESTLAKE, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TravelCenters of America LLC announced today that 12 technicians from its TA and Petro:Lube truck repair businesses competed in the annual Supertechs competition sponsored by The Truck Maintenance Council (TMC) September 15-18. Norbert Estrada, a TA Shop technician earned top award for two categories; Fasteners and Brakes.

The Supertechs competition pits technicians from truck manufacturers, dealers, independent garages and fleets in a skills competition of various aspects of truck repair and maintenance. TravelCenters of America, a leading provider of truck lubrication and maintenance services through it’s TA and Petro:Lube brands, is the only truck stop company to compete. Approximately 130 technicians participated in the event. Ten TA and two Petro:Lube technicians participated.

TA only began competing in Supertechs three years ago. This year, the two awards won by Norbert Estrada bring the total Supertech award total for the company to three in this very elite competition.
