Immersion and dreamGEAR Sign TouchSense® Technology License for New Gaming Peripherals

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Immersion Corporation (NASDAQ:IMMR), the leading developer and licensor of touch feedback technology (http://www.immersion.com/corporate/) announces that gaming peripheral manufacturer dreamGEAR LLC has entered into a license with Immersion, including rights to use advanced vibro-tactile, spinning-mass technologies for consumer gaming peripherals for computer, console, and handheld gaming systems. The companies will work together to develop innovative products that deliver better gaming experiences and surpass the performance and comfort of currently available controllers.

dreamGEAR’s first TouchSense technology product is the soon-to-launch Shadow Wireless controller. This Sony PlayStation 3 peripheral will feature an enhanced analog stick to improve accuracy, reduce latency, and offer users improved enjoyment of PS3 titles.
