These include the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, the Gramm Leach Bliley (GLB) act and European directives such as Basel II affecting the financial sector, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA) legislation driving security compliance in the healthcare vertical, and fears of cyber-terrorism reflected in the Federal Information System Management Act and Patriot Acts.
