Vital Images Names Vikram Simha Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President of Engineering
Management Addition Strengthens Focus on Developing Best-in-Class Enterprise-Wide Healthcare Solutions
MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vital Images, Inc. (NASDAQ: VTAL), a leading provider of enterprise-wide advanced visualization and analysis solutions, has named Vikram Simha chief technology officer and executive vice president of engineering, a new position. Simha will report to President and Chief Executive Officer Michael H. Carrel.

From 1998 until June 2008, Simha held software engineering management positions at Mitsubishi and TeraRecon, most recently serving as chief technology officer and senior vice president, 3D engineering. Simha was a software engineer and principal software engineer at ViTAL from 1994 to 1998, where he was a key member of the Vitrea development team. Simha received a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas, Austin, and a bachelor’s degree, also in mechanical engineering, from Bangalore University, Bangalore, India.
Vincent Argiro, Ph.D., ViTAL founder and previous chief technology officer, has been engaged as a consultant focused on providing strategic direction and counsel.
