"Webinars on Demand" Help People Get Writing Training When They Want It
PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--If you're faced with a special report, proposal or letter and you're on deadline, you may wish you had a writing expert to call and help you through it. Imagine having a writing instructor ready to hold an online class for you in punctuation and grammar or writing winning proposals or persuasive writing.
Gary Blake, Director of The Communication Workshop, offers a variety of writing seminars "on demand." You tell him the date and time you want the class and he'll meet you on line and give you the type of help that only a live instructor can offer. Says Blake, "While technology has improved, people's writing skills have declined. My webinars offer personalized writing training, online, to individuals or businesspeople who need help quickly." "Although I have presented writing seminars at more than 100 insurance companies, I have created these webinars for a variety of businesspeople and individuals who may not always have much choice in obtaining high-quality personalized writing training. The webinars are convenient, easy on the budget, and require no special software," says Blake.
"The decline of America's writing skills echoes throughout the whole country," says Blake. In this week's New Yorker, there are two cartoons lampooning poor writing skills, one in which the "10 Items or Less" sign at a supermarket check out is changed to "10 items or fewer."
After years of teaching on-site seminars, Blake finds webinars have an immediacy and intimacy that are vital to having people feel comfortable and confident about their writing. Webinar prices range for ($129/person for a 70-minute intensive class to about $250) for a series of four 1-hour online classes in topics such as Effective Claims Writing, Persuasive Writing, and Achieving the Right Tone.
