Eaton Vance Enhanced Equity Income Fund II Annual Meeting of Shareholders

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--At a meeting held today, the Board of Trustees of Eaton Vance Enhanced Equity Income Fund II (the “Fund”) (NYSE:EOS), a diversified closed-end investment company, voted to hold the Annual Meeting of Shareholders of the Fund on Friday, October 17, 2008 at 2:30 P.M. EST. The meeting will be held at the principal office of the Fund, The Eaton Vance Building, 255 State Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02109. Proxy materials will be mailed on or about August 25, 2008 to shareholders of record on August 13, 2008. Shareholders will be asked to vote on the election of three Class I Trustees of the Fund.

The Fund is managed by Eaton Vance Management, a subsidiary of Eaton Vance Corp., which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol EV. Eaton Vance and its affiliates had approximately $159.1 billion in assets under management as of April 30, 2008.
