Teen Trio Blackout 101 Returns Triumphant from UK as the Talk of Liverpool and the Hit of the International Pop Overthrow Music Festival

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Blackout 101 (www.myspace.com/theblackout101), the explosive teen trio comprised of two 13 year olds and a 16 year old, touted as the next Green Day or Blink 182, has returned from performing at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, England. The boys played at the club, made famous by The Beatles, as part of the International Pop Overthrow Music Festival. IPO is the planet's ultimate pop/rock music festival in its sixth year in Liverpool with a total of 175 bands from 16 countries performing.

The teen rockers from Los Angeles, California, were not prepared for the media requests and radio interviews that awaited them as they returned to Liverpool for their third time performing at The Cavern Club as part of the International Pop Overthrow Festival. On one day alone, the boys played two concerts at the Cavern Club, were interviewed on two different FM radio stations, and still managed to squeeze in a Magical Mystery Tour of the Beatles' childhood homes and favorite haunts.

Since their return from the UK, Blackout 101 is in the studio with Shaun Lopez (Far, Deftones) to record their debut EP. They will follow up the recording session with a summer tour of the US including a performance at The Orange County Fair in Costa Mesa, California on August 3rd.
