SanDisk Corporation of Milpitas, Calif., today introduced a NAND Flash memory module, called the SanDisk pSSD (Parallel ATA solid state drive), that is designed for the hot new personal electronics category of ultra low-cost personal computers (ULCPC). The SanDisk pSSD stores the operating system and all application data and eliminates the need for a hard disk drive. With capacities of 4-, 8- and 16 gigabytes (GB), the SanDisk modules were shown at Computex in Taipei, Taiwan. They are expected to be available for shipping this August. (Photo: Business Wire)
