NASCAR Drivers Clint Bowyer and Landon Cassill Talk With Teens About Driving While Distracted

RICHMOND, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--With too much to do and too little time, motorists are increasingly taking this “get it all done” attitude to the roads and committing DWD – Driving While Distracted. The problem is especially bad for young drivers.

Nationwide Insurance has teamed up with NASCAR drivers Clint Bowyer and Landon Cassill, DRIVE SMART Virginia, the Virginia State Police, Henrico County School officials and the Richmond International Raceway to encourage teens in Virginia to drive safely and stop texting while driving.

Visuals include a NASCAR simulator that will allow participants to see first hand the dangers of texting behind the wheel. Officials and NASCAR drivers will be available to the media for interviews and photography.

This event is the second in a series. Similar events will be held in other communities during the 2008 NASCAR season.
