Popular Search Engine Mascot Leads the Charge to Raise Money for The Humane Society of the United States; Encourages Newly-Minted Millionaire to Join the Cause

BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dogpile.coms popular mascot Arfie, today kicked off a grassroots campaign to help raise money for The Humane Societys Rural Area Veterinary Services Program and has asked Trouble Helmsley, the dog who inherited $12 million in her owner Leona Helmsleys will, to stretch her philanthropic legs and join the effort to raise $50,000 for needy pets.

Arfies owner, Dogpile.com has pledged to donate $1 for every pet and owner that signs the appeal at www.supportarfie.com, up to $25,000. Arfie has contacted Trouble Helmsley, one of the wealthiest dogs around, to generously match the total amount raised in the campaign.

Starting today pets (and their owners) can visit www.supportarfie.com to sign an appeal to Trouble, and to have the company donate money to the Humane Societys Rural Area Veterinary Services Program which provides free veterinary treatment to the animals of underprivileged families. Pets of all shapes and sizes are encouraged to participate and throw a bone to animals in need.
