Dick Bromley Appointed Business Wire's European Sales Director; Will Lead Continental Growth Plans
LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dick Bromley has been promoted to Business Wire's European sales director, positioning the company to take advantage of significant growth opportunities in its fastest-growing region, Gregg Castano, executive vice president, global sales, announced today.
Bromley has been the manager of Business Wire's UK office, which has registered double-digit gains each year during his tenure. The UK office now ranks among Business Wire's Top Ten offices worldwide, a remarkable achievement for the five and one-half year-old office. In September 2004, the Scandinavian market was added to Bromley's management portfolio.
In his expanded role, Bromley will be responsible for sales throughout the continent. Business Wire currently maintains offices in London, Paris, Brussels and Frankfurt. The company plans to expand its sales activities throughout southern Europe and the Benelux market in the coming months.
Bromley will report to Gregg Castano and also work closely with Rudi DeCeuster, Business Wire's Brussels-based senior director, business development.
Business Wire has set up more than a dozen regulatory disclosure networks throughout the European Union in anticipation of the January implementation of the Transparency Obligations Directive. The TOD will usher in pan-European disclosure standards across all 25 Member States. Business Wire is poised to provide compliance services to EU-listed companies on a national, regional and international level.
"Dick is a proven sales leader whose results speak for themselves," said Castano. "Europe as a whole represents an enormous opportunity for Business Wire, and we have just started to tap its true potential. Under Dick's guidance and leadership, we are confident that our growth will accelerate even more quickly given the new regulatory landscape that plays to Business Wire's traditional strengths."
Bromley lives with his wife, Louisa, and two children in Tunbridge Wells, England.
