Let’s Get Personal: Social Search Engine Scour.com Launches New Features to Personalize Scour, One Person at a Time
Ability to Customize Search preferences, Connect with other Searchers, Track Friends’ Comments and more...
SHERMAN OAKS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In a move toward greater personalization, social search engine Scour.com today announced a host of new features that allow people to customize their experience like never before. Included in the new release are such handy features as keeping track of your friends’ comments and connecting with other searchers on the Scour network.
Scour, launched this past summer, is a meta search engine which gathers results from Google, Yahoo! and MSN. People are rewarded with VISA gift cards for searching, voting and commenting on results. One point is awarded for each search, vote or comment. Accruing 6500 points translates into a $25 reward.
“There’s clearly a trend toward personalization on the web and we wholeheartedly support it,” said Daniel Yomtobian, president and CEO of Scour. “The ability to connect with friends more closely—whether following their comments or inviting them to Scour—is something we believe will resonate well with our growing community of users.”
Top features in the new user administration include:
- Tell A Friend - Invite a friend to Scour individually.
- Invite your social network / Social book-marking friends to Scour with new social invite footer.
- Scour Friends Feed - Keep track of your Scour Friends and see what they are commenting on.
