New Board Members Elected to the Professional Association for SQL Server
SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Professional Association for SQL Server (PASS) today announced its new board members at the PASS Community Summit 2008. Douglas McDowell, managing partner for Solid Quality Mentors and Andy Warren, president of Fourdeuce will be joining the PASS Board of Directors-at-Large while Lynda Rab continues her Board service for a new term. Newly elected board members will begin serving their term on January 1, 2009.
The PASS Board is comprised of 3 elected executives, elected members-at-large and 4 founding partners. The role of the PASS Board is to engage Microsoft product teams, developers, technical fellows, MVPs and others to help PASS develop programs, educational content, speakers, and to provide a conduit of user feedback to Microsoft on product feature sets. Microsoft and CA, PASS founding partner members, each contribute one or two senior marketing managers to the PASS Board of Directors.

Douglas McDowell is a Managing Partner for Solid Quality Mentors. He is a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for SQL Server, an MCT, MCTS, MCSE, MCDBA, a charter member of the PASS Regional Mentor Program, as well as an author and contributing editor for SQL Server Magazine and BI editor for the SQLServerPedia.com wiki site. Douglas was a founding Chapter Leader for Atlanta.mdf, a thriving PASS Chapter in Atlanta, Georgia.
Lynda Rab is an IT professional with more than 15 years of technical experience. She has been working with SQL Server since version 4.2 and is now focusing her efforts on data warehousing working for Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. A PASS volunteer since 2001, Lynda has worked her way up the volunteer ladder to the PASS Board of Directors. Along the way she received the PASSion award for “leadership in fostering the overall growth and prosperity for the Professional Association for SQL Server.”
Andy Warren is the President of Fourdeuce Inc, an Orlando based company whose holdings include End to End Training and JumpstartTV. Andy is also the current President of the Orlando SQL Server User Group and the chair of the SQLSaturday event concept. Andy has worked with SQL Server for more than 10 years, going back to SQL 6.5, and has also worked as a developer and an IT Director. In 2008, he was selected as a SQL Server MVP.
