AAA Kentucky Protects Members from the Growing Threats of Identity Theft by Partnering with LifeLock®
TEMPE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In a coordinated effort to further combat identity theft in Kentucky, AAA Kentucky has joined forces with LifeLock®, the industry leader in identity theft protection, to offer a valuable service to its more than 350,000 club members. LifeLock’s proactive service will be offered at a discounted rate to members, and employees as well.
“When traveling, consumers may have to give out their personal information more frequently, which only means that their data is in the hands of more people and businesses. Travelers need to be aware of how to protect themselves from becoming a victim of identity theft. This partnership will offer LifeLock’s services to those who feel that they may be vulnerable to the crime,” said LifeLock CEO Todd Davis.
AAA offers discounts at more than 150,000 merchant locations around the world. These services include travel agency services and roadside assistance. AAA Kentucky also offers its members several financial services including credit cards, car loans, home equity loans and now identity theft protection. LifeLock is not a stranger to AAA, with more than 10 different club partnerships. One out of every three licensed drivers in AAA Kentucky’s region is a member.
“LifeLock is a company that we truly believe will enhance AAA Kentucky’s service. Our travelers who take advantage of this offer will have peace of mind, knowing that LifeLock is there to help protect them while on the road or in the comfort of their daily lives,” said Tom Hicks, AAA East Central Marketing Manager, Kentucky Region.
As the industry leader in identity theft protection, LifeLock requests on behalf of its clients that the national credit bureaus place fraud alerts on its members’ credit files, and requests that members’ names be removed from preapproved credit card offer and junk mail lists. Members are also entitled to LifeLock’s WalletLock™, eRecon™ and TrueAddress™ services. WalletLock works to cancel and replace all documents and personal identifying information inside a wallet if it is lost or stolen. eRecon is a regular patrol of the Internet in search of Social Security numbers, credit card numbers, driver’s license numbers and email addresses of LifeLock members to protect against the information being illegally traded or sold online. LifeLock’s TrueAddress service searches to see if members have had a change of address form filed and alert them to ensure they are aware of the change. The company’s services are backed by a $1 million total service guarantee.
