Simmons and Schramm will announce the launch of an entrepreneurship competition in the fields of fashion, film and music that will be the signature U.S. component of Global Entrepreneurship Week/USA (November 17-23, 2008). Global Entrepreneurship Week is a worldwide initiative that will link millions of young people in more than 75 countries through a growing movement to inspire new ideas and engage the next generation of entrepreneurs. |

The Kauffman Foundation is a national sponsor of the competition along with the Acton Foundation for Entrepreneurial Excellence. The U.S.-based Kauffman Foundation co-founded Global Entrepreneurship Week with Make Your Mark in the United Kingdom. The Week is being globally sponsored by NYSE Euronext, IBM and Ernst & Young.
