Dogs Take the Lead at San Jose’s Bark in the Park on Saturday, September 20, 2008, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in William Street Park (Corner of Williams and S. 16^th Street) in downtown San Jose, CA. At this family oriented event, over 3,000 dogs and 14,000 humans will enjoy Dogs in Costume, Silly Dog Tricks, and a Pet-Owner Look Alike Contest. Located in an expansive, tree lined Neighborhood Park, this casual, family oriented day features contests, music, beverages, food, celebrities, demonstrations, dog-related vendors and services, kids activities. And, dogs, lots of dogs. Admission is free with a $5 donation per dog encouraged.

Special attractions this year are: Dog Costume Contest, 11 a.m., Silly Dog Tricks, 12 p.m. and Pet/Owner Look Alike Contest at 1 p.m. Ongoing activities include: Dancing Dogs, Dog Water Park, Free Dog Agility Course, Rabies Vaccinations, Low Cost Microchipping, Dog Related Vendors, Flyball Canine Relay, Herding Demonstrations, Kid’s Activities, Performing Dogs, Grooming, Training.
