One lucky Yankees fan will be chosen as the first and last person in the stadium’s history to propose live via the Diamond Vision Screen during a game played on the final weekend at the “House that Ruth Built”. For every registrant, Michael C. Fina and Hearts On Fire will donate $1 to the Mariano Rivera Foundation, a nonprofit organization that benefits under-privileged children. The final essay winner will be selected by a team of judges and chosen based on their passion for the Yankees, creativity, and overall appeal, during the first week of September 2008. The contest will run until August 31^st and the proposal will take place at Yankee Stadium on September 18^th.
