RMI Announces Executive Appointments

Supply Chain Software Executive Brings Vast Experience to Lead RMIs Growth Initiatives

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--RMI, the largest independent provider of comprehensive rail information services to the transportation industry, today announced the appointment of Dan Vertachnik to the position of Executive Vice President Chief Revenue Officer. Vertachnik officially began working with RMI on June 23.

Mr. Vertachnik has served in leadership positions with Red Prairie, i2 Technologies, NFI/National Freight, Inc., and The Dart Group. Vertachnik has extensive experience leading all aspects of Supply Chain Execution and Transportation Software business units including sales, marketing, R&D, and strategic acquisitions. We are fortunate to have an executive with Dans experience and credentials joining our team, said Pete Kleifgen, CEO of RMI. Dan brings to RMI a proven track record of creating partnerships and acquisitions, and has demonstrated the ability to grow sales from both existing customers and new markets. We feel Dan has the personal qualities and values that are so important to our long standing culture at RMI, added Kleifgen.

Vertachnik has a business degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and currently resides in Grapevine, Texas. He will ultimately relocate to Atlanta, Georgia to be close to RMIs corporate headquarters.

RMI also announced the promotion of Kirk Knauff to Vice President, Sales effective in January, 2008. Kirk Knauff has held various positions in business development with RMI since 2002, and has been instrumental in introducing several new services including The Car Hire Marketplace and RailConnect Business Intelligence. Kirk has consistently demonstrated the leadership qualities and deep understanding of our customers needs to be successful in his new position, said Pete Kleifgen.

Knauff holds an undergraduate degree from Florida State University, a Masters of Marketing from Webster University, and has completed postgraduate studies at Harvard Business School.
