Ho, ho... D'oh! On December 18th, America's favorite family is turning Mid-Town Manhattan their favorite holiday color - yellow! - marking the DVD and Blu-ray release of the Best Animated Feature Golden Globe nominated The Simpsons Movie, from Fox Home Entertainment (TCFHE).

The Simpsons Family joins The Simpsons Movie Director David Silverman and voice talent Yeardley Smith and Pamela Hayden to celebrate the DVD release with three never-before-seen events.

BRYANT PARK

The morning of December 18, New Yorkers will awake to the overnight transformation of The Pond at Bryant Park, presented by Citi(R) into a "Simponsized" wonderland. Entering its third season, The Pond at Bryant Park symbolizes the very best of winter magic in Manhattan... and now that includes The Simpsons! Visitors can experience:

-- A first-of-its-kind, The Simpsons Movie Ice Skating Spectacular featuring the characters, a yellow ice rink, music from a live choir and a solo between Homer and his beloved pet pig!

-- 2,500 mega-donut balloons, a 25-foot Homer hand inflatable, 3,550 square feet of yellow "grass," The Simpsons Movie DVD-themed ice rink

-- Free ice skating, food and giveaways - including 5,000 cups of Ned Flanders' hot chocolate, 5,000 official Simpsons Sprinkalicious(TM) donuts courtesy of 7/11, 5,000 yellow Santa hats and 4,000 samples of Ben & Jerry's one-day-only ice cream The Simpsons Movie "Duff & D'oh!Nuts"

-- The Simpsons Game where one can play along with their favorite dysfunctional TV family member as they battle to break free of the video game world and save Springfield

-- The "donutization" of the Bryant Park 50-foot holiday tree, a gift to the city from the Canadian Tourism Commission

-- TCFHE will also donate all staff winter jackets to the New York Cares Coat Drive, a citywide charitable tradition collecting and distributing coats to New Yorkers in need

THE EMPIRE STATE BUILDING

-- Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie will join The Simpsons Movie Director David Silverman and voice talent Yeardley Smith (Lisa) and Pamela Hayden (Milhouse) as they flip the ceremonial switch to light the famous landmark yellow

-- To commemorate the occasion, TCFHE will make a donation for every ESB Observatory ticket sold on 12/17 to Robin Hood, an organization fighting poverty by supporting the most effective poverty-fighting programs in all five boroughs. A donation announcement will be made at the ceremony on December 18th

TIMES SQUARE

-- "Simpsonized" street teams will distribute yellow Santa hats and line 42nd Street with balloons, marking a path to the action on the ice

-- Festivities will be shown on the News Corp. JumboTron throughout the day, ending with an official countdown as the ESB turns yellow
