Fonality Announces High Performance trixbox Appliance to Ship Bundled With trixbox Pro Software

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fonality®, a maker of business phone systems, announced that the new trixbox® Pro appliance, which formerly only shipped with the trixbox Community Edition software will soon begin shipping with the trixbox Pro commercial software. Now, trixbox and Asterisk® resellers, and IT professionals will have access to pre-built, tested and certified hardware specifically designed for trixbox Pro software, making for simpler, faster deployments in the small to medium sized business (SMB) market. The trixbox Pro software has already been deployed more than 2100 times in 70 countries, even though it was released less than a month ago.

The trixbox Pro Appliance costs $999 and delivers 80 times the storage and 10 times the capacity of similar-priced Asterisk® solid-state appliances on the market today. It is an industrial grade, rack-mountable server that comes standard with two 80 GB hard disks in RAID-1, 512MB of RAM, and a powerful Intel Duo Core processor. It also comes with an optional dual power supply to increase long-term reliability. The trixbox Pro appliance is tailored for businesses with five to 500 employees and can be purchased for use with VoIP, PRI, E1/T1, or up to 48 analog lines.

The base edition of trixbox Pro comes already installed on the appliance. Resellers can choose to upgrade to paid editions: trixbox Enterprise Edition (EE) or trixbox Call Center Edition (CCE).
