‘Massage for the Cure’ Day Supports Susan G. Komen for the Cure Houston

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A free massage for you can help someone else. That is the theme of a day-long event coming to the Houston area on September 10. To participate, please plan ahead.

Here’s what’s happening: On Monday, September 10, all 22 Greater Houston-area Massage Envy clinics will provide free 1-hour therapeutic massage sessions to any man or woman. The event supports Susan G. Komen for the Cure Houston Affiliate. Lance O’Pry, Houston regional developer for Massage Envy, said every Houston-area Massage Envy clinic will be fully staffed with licensed massage therapists, “and every penny collected will be donated to the Houston Komen affiliate.”

“For a donation of any amount, any Houstonian who books an appointment will receive a free 1-hour therapeutic massage session from any one of the 22 Houston-area Massage Envy clinics,” said Michele Ostrander, executive director of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Houston. This is the first year Massage for the Cure Day has been held in Houston. Ostrander said the money will be spent on the needs of Houston women.

IMPORTANT – PLEASE PLAN AHEAD -- Reservations for appointments will be accepted beginning at 8AM, Monday, September 3^rd. All Massage Envy clinics will observe regular hours from 8 AM until 10 PM. Appointments will be booked on a first come-first served basis. No reservations will be taken before September 3^rd.
