Element Service, Inc., Distribution Arm of Utilisource Corp., Undergoes Reorganization and Relocation to Larger Facilities in El Segundo
EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Element Service, Inc., a full-service heating, air conditioning and energy conservation products company, and the distribution arm of Utilisource Corp. (OTC:UTLS), an energy and energy conservation products provider, has just completed a major reorganization and relocation of corporate headquarters to El Segundo, California – all to increase company efficiency and better serve its customers.
“We were very pleased with Mr. Wayne’s contribution to this company – his background includes more than 25 years of experience in the energy business including his involvement in the California deregulation of natural gas and electricity”
The company moved from its 1,100 square foot Van Nuys, California base to a new 4,000 square foot two-story office and warehouse facility conveniently located just south of Los Angeles International Airport.
“We are excited about this move and we are just getting settled in to be able to provide better service and dramatically increase our warehouse storage capacity for air conditioning and heating equipment,” said Shaun Lee, President and Director of Operations. “As a direct result of this major move, we have increased our facility size to include five private offices and we have increased the size of our service fleet to eight service and installation trucks and two new E250 service vans.”
The reorganization also included the departure of original Utilisource founder Anthony Wayne, who left the company late last year following two years with the company during its critical formative period. His interest in the company was purchased by Lee in a stock purchase agreement finalized in March.
“We were very pleased with Mr. Wayne’s contribution to this company – his background includes more than 25 years of experience in the energy business including his involvement in the California deregulation of natural gas and electricity,” Lee said. “He built the original Utilisource, created as an electric service provider under the California Electricity Act AB 1890, into a sales and marketing force of more than 400 independent sales people who were responsible for the procurement of more than 22,000 commercial accounts and his direction and support in the energy efficiency business here was invaluable. Tony’s interests – as our own – have always been to help companies save money on their bottom line.”
Lee is “third generation” in the heating and air conditioning business in the Greater Los Angeles area and has worked in all facets of the business from apprentice to CEO over a period of more than 25 years in the industry.
He started his first heating and air conditioning company at the age of 19, sold the company and became its Executive Sales Director, and personally closed more than $10 million in business after only eight months. He saw the company’s revenue soar to more than $20 million in less than a year as a result of his changes.
The newly organized Element Service, Inc., located at 121 Sierra Street in El Segundo, has expanded its service offerings to include solar powered generation and commercial walk-in refrigeration units, along with complete installation and service of HVAC systems.
The company has expanded to include 18 employees, including 13 who have joined the business since the move to El Segundo.
Industry veteran Jim Beets has assumed the position of Director of Commercial Service and Controls, and Jenell Stiger is on board as office coordinator.
And Jason Zenter, formerly head of commercial energy conservation projects, has been reassigned to Director of Commercial Projects.
Element Service, Inc., is a member of Chambers of Commerce in Hollywood, El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach. The company is licensed and bonded as a contractor in California.
It handles all major brands of heating and air conditioning equipment and, through its association with Utilisource, offers energy management systems such as The EnergySaver™, a demand-side energy management tool that reduces energy consumption by 15 to 35 percent in business lighting systems.
