SolarCraft Completes Cal Avenue Partners Solar System
So. California Partners Now Powered by the Sun
NOVATO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Novato-based SolarCraft announced today that they completed installation and commissioned a 261 kW solar electric system for Cal Avenue Partners in Corona, CA. The SolarCraft PV system will provide enormous savings for their 85,000 sq. foot building.
“This is the second project for this customer and we are in the planning stages of a third”
The SolarCraft system consists of 1,536 – 170 watt solar panels. The 21,563 sq. feet of panels enables Cal Avenue Partners to generate enough clean electricity each day to power 208 average homes. The new system will spare the air nearly 230 tons of harmful greenhouse gases annually. This is comparable to planting 46 acres of trees. Over the next 30 years, the air pollution saved will be equivalent to driving over 16 million miles.
Cal Avenue Partners leading reason for installing the PV system is to utilize green energy. “Solar energy is good for the environment and the reduction of greenhouse gases is good for the community,” says partner, Mark Gordon. "SolarCraft completed the job on time and on budget.”
“This is the second project for this customer and we are in the planning stages of a third,” says Chris Bunas, VP Solar Electric Division for SolarCraft. "We are extremely excited to have had another opportunity to work with Mr.Gordon; he has proven to be a great customer, as well as an asset to SolarCraft.”
Cal Avenue Partners’ solar energy installation initiates SolarCraft’s expansion into the Southern California market.
