European Very Light Jet Conference Highlights Strong Air Taxi Growth Ahead
Analysts Predict That the VLJ in Europe Will Have the Same Positive Market-Expansion Impact on the Sector That Budget Airlines Had on Full-Fare Airlines
ATLANTA & VIENNA, Austria--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Very Light Jet-Europe conference opened in Vienna with over 20 industry expert speakers in a two-day event, highlighting one of the most important next-generation aviation conferences in Europe. The keynote address was presented by Air Taxi Association President Joe Leader with his session entitled “Air Taxi and Very Light Jet Takeoff Velocity: Uniting the Industry, Changing the World, and Driving Aviation Profitability.”
“JetBird applauds the Air Taxi Association for underlining its European focus in its worldwide efforts”
“With a deep focus on very light jets and air taxis, this event has created tremendous interest across Europe and beyond,” said Dr. Panagiotis Panagopoulos, Managing Director of MIU Events. “Having Joe Leader provide the keynote address on behalf of the next generation air taxi industry provided insights to the rapid growth ahead. With the level of enthusiasm from the audience to his professional and academic insights, we look forward to future events that bring more and more people to the incredible opportunities ahead of us all.”
The conference was co-chaired by two industry leaders, Chairman of Interflight Consulting, Oscar S. Garcia, and Commercial Director of PMI Media, Rainer Vogel. Topics ranged from the operating cost advantages of very light jets to venture capital forums, while several European air taxi companies and aircraft manufacturers gave lectures. Leader also announced that the search for the European Managing Director of the Air Taxi Association is scheduled to formally launch next quarter.
"JetBird applauds the Air Taxi Association for underlining its European focus in its worldwide efforts," JetBird CEO Stefan Vilner stated. "We look forward to using our market leadership position with the ATXA to emphasize the importance of private air taxi travel with the operational efficiencies of low cost carriers."
At the event, Leader made several key announcements on behalf of and predictions for the next-generation air taxi market:
While the European Air Taxi market is estimated to be worth 1 Billion Euros annually, the air taxi does not replace the need for commercial airline travel. Instead, it dramatically expands the total available air-travel market and relieves strain on the limited transport infrastructure. Next-generation technology places people safely into our skies using underutilized secondary airports.
The Air Taxi Association (ATXA) is leading the revolution in personal air travel at business airline prices. Backed by leading air taxi companies, the Air Taxi Association’s mission is to speed the adoption of the air taxi model so that more businesses, individuals, and communities of all sizes can enjoy the benefits of direct, on-demand flights.
