Host Bob Ryan to Tackle New Englands 10 Hottest Sports Topics Every Tuesday Through Thursday at 5:30 P.M.

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Boston Globe, in partnership with NESN, today announced that The Globe 10.0 presented by Verizon, premiers on Tuesday, June 26 at 5:30 p.m. The show will be hosted by nationally recognized Boston Globe sports columnist Bob Ryan and will air every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening at 5:30 p.m. on NESN.

By pairing The Globe 10.0 with our successful Red Sox Monster Monday and Friday Night Fenway programs, we can offer entertaining original programming for New England sports fans every weekday starting at 5:30.”

The Globe 10.0 is a fast-paced half-hour that matches Ryan against other top columnists from the Globe as well as the regions biggest personalities in spirited debate about the top 10 issues of the day in New England sports. The Globes Dan Shaughnessy and Nick Cafardo are slated to appear on the program during its first week

Produced at the NESN HD Television Center in Watertown, the show features an innovative virtual 3-D set complete with state-of-the-art technology that allows for immediate viewer interaction. Ryan will also host a blog in connection with the show allowing the conversation and the sparks to continue flying after the show is over.

A special launch event will be held on Tuesday June 26 at the Cask N Flagon, 62 Brookline Avenue Boston, from 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. For the first half-hour, the audience will watch the premiere edition of the Globe 10.0 show on NESN along with Bob Ryan and Dan Shaughnessy. Then Bob Ryan and Dan Shaughnessy will take questions from the audience until 7:00 p.m.

The host of The Globe 10.0, Bob Ryan is an award-winning writer and sports columnist for The Boston Globe. His resume includes more than 20 NBA finals, 20 Final Fours, nine World Series, five Super Bowls and the last seven Olympic Games. He was named the Associated Press Sportswriter of the Year in 2000 and received the Curt Gowdy Media Award from the National Basketball Hall of Fame in 1997.
