2007 Rbk Eurocamp to Host Top Players from across the World

CANTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--For the fifth consecutive year, the best players from around the world will descend on Italy to showcase their skills and athleticism at the Rbk Eurocamp. The 2007 Rbk Eurocamp will take place from June 9-12 and will be held at the La Ghirada sports complex in Treviso, Italy.

Forty-five of the top players from Europe, Africa and South America will have the opportunity to practice and play under the supervision of NBA coaches and in front of scouts, coaches and general managers from basketball teams and leagues across the world including the NBA. Former first round NBA draft picks including Andrea Bargnani, Mouhamed Sene, Johan Petro and Yaroslav Korolev have all participated in past Rbk Eurocamps.

For the first time, as part of Reebok’s Rbk U grassroots basketball program, Rbk Eurocamp will host a high school All-Star team from the United States. Some of the brightest prep players from the United States including standouts William Buford (Ohio State commitment), Isaiah Thomas (Washington commitment), Kenny Frease (Xavier commitment) and Malcolm Lee (UCLA commitment) are slated to test their skills against Europe’s finest. Other All-Star clubs scheduled to visit Rbk Eurocamp include Under-20 national teams from both Russia and Italy.

All players and coaches at Rbk Eurocamp will be outfitted in the newest Rbk footwear, performance wear and accessories. The Infinity-mid basketball shoe, the court shoe that Reebok’s NBA athletes will wear during the first half of the 2007 NBA season, will debut at the camp.
