Fitch Names Dirk Tasche to Quantitative Financial Research Group
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fitch Ratings has hired Dirk Tasche as a senior director in Fitch Ratings' Quantitative Financial Research (QFR) group. Mr. Tasche is based in London and will focus on group's efforts regarding credit portfolio risk and risk scoring models.
Prior to joining Fitch, Mr. Tasche was a risk analyst in the banking and financial supervision department of Deutsche Bundesbank, Frankfurt am Main. He was mainly involved in the European Union-wide and national German legal implementation of the Basel II Internal Ratings Based Approach (IRBA). Additionally, he was charged with research on economic capital models and their implementation in financial institutions. Prior to Deutsche Bundesbank, Mr. Tasche worked in the credit risk management of HVB, Munich, and as a researcher at universities in Germany and Switzerland. He has published several papers on measurement of financial risk and capital allocation.
Mr. Tasche received a PhD in mathematics from Berlin University of Technology in 1996.
The Fitch Quantitative Financial Research (Fitch QFR) team develops and delivers the advanced research and analytics employed by Fitch Ratings. As such the Fitch QFR team supports all areas of Fitch Ratings' structured finance business (CDO, ABS, CMBS, RMBS, and covered bonds) and fundamental credit analysis groups (financial institutions, corporates, sovereigns, public finance, and global power).
