--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Silicon Valley Leadership Group is holding a news conference on the Palm, Inc. campus at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, to promote its CEO/Celebrity Cycle-to-Work Day Challenge to encourage Silicon Valley businesses, government agencies, employees and residents to cycle to work on May 17 as part of the national Bike-to-Work Week May 14-18. A dozen or more Silicon Valley executives and public officials will be clad in colorful cycling garb to help demonstrate that they and their organizations are committed to the effort to reduce greenhouse gases, lessen our dependence on fossil fuels, ease traffic congestion and promote a healthy lifestyle by cycling to work on May 17. The Leadership Group will challenge all Silicon Valley businesses, their employees and their communities to do the same.
