Amy Winehouse Makes U.S. Chart History

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Amy Winehouse’s Back To Black has been wholeheartedly embraced by U.S. music fans, entering The Billboard Hot 200 chart at a lofty #7, making her the highest debuting British female artist in the history of the coveted U.S. albums chart. The feat is made all the more remarkable when you consider Amy played her first New York club shows in January of this year. Her recent appearance on The Late Show With David Lettermen, her American broadcast television debut, and two completely sold-out, star-studded New York and LA shows have helped establish the British siren as the hottest new artist in the U.S.
