The Pacific Northwest Has a New Technology Leader - Ascentium and Centerlogic Have Merged to Create the Largest Technology and Marketing Consultancy in the Region
BELLEVUE, Wash. & PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ascentium Corporation, a leading technology and marketing consulting firm, today announced the acquisition of Centerlogic, a leading system integrator and one of the oldest and largest Microsoft partners in Portland, Oregon. The merging of these two companies will make Ascentium the largest consultancy of this kind in Oregon. For 10 years, Centerlogic has been serving the business needs of more than 150 local customers across the mid-market and enterprise.
Over the past decade, both Centerlogic and Ascentium have built their businesses with a passionate commitment to customer success. Demand for their services has grown significantly because of the depth of expertise and customer understanding both firms offer. To date, Ascentium and Centerlogic have effectively partnered to meet these needs through joint engagement with customers and as founding partners in the Microsoft Innovation Center at Portland State University.
When asked how this acquisition will help his team better serve their customers, Centerlogic President Kevin McVicker said, “I am incredibly proud of how my team has built many successful solutions for our customers. As their trusted technology advisor in Oregon, we want to continue to evolve to strategically help our clients solve increasingly complex business challenges and to grow their businesses. Merging with Ascentium ensures we will achieve this and much more.”
To continue to be a world-class solution provider, Ascentium recognized that mission-critical applications and solutions must also be built on the most stable, secure and scalable infrastructures. By merging forces with Centerlogic, Ascentium will be able to expand its ability to offer the deepest experience and nationally recognized capabilities in infrastructure services, customer management solutions, business intelligence, and portal and collaboration solutions. Merging the Ascentium and Centerlogic teams is viewed as a logical and important step in efforts by leadership in both companies to best serve customers at the same level of delivery excellence they have come to count on and to be able to grow to meet additional market demand.
In his announcement to employees of the acquisition, Ascentium Managing Partner and Executive Vice President Alain Dias said, “Our growth strategy has remained steadfast in our commitment to recruit smart, talented and dedicated people and then give them the tools to find creative and innovative solutions that directly address each client’s unique business needs. The goal is not just to make our customers happy, but also to ensure their success. Centerlogic is at the heart of this commitment for Ascentium in Portland and throughout Oregon.”
Centerlogic’s market expansion strategy included cities where Ascentium has already established market momentum, including Seattle, Spokane and Los Angeles. Therefore, a merger of the companies will increase marketing penetration in these areas more rapidly. The two companies have long shared a vision of strategic growth, and both have well-established partnerships with Microsoft. Ascentium opened its Portland office only six months ago and, with Microsoft, Centerlogic and others, launched the Microsoft Innovation Center on the Portland State University campus.
Jane Dickson, General Manager, PacWest SMS&P for Microsoft, said, “Having worked with both firms in a sales and delivery partnership and on the Microsoft Innovation Center, I remain impressed with how well they complement one another and continue to help us meet and exceed our customer needs across the PacWest region. With the latest Microsoft software releases of Vista, Exchange and the 2007 Office System, we face a high demand for experienced and successful partners. Microsoft is counting on local leaders like Centerlogic and Ascentium to continue to grow while offering a high level of service with the deepest expertise.”
