Host March 16 Workshop on Mobile Marketing

Houston Interactive Marketing Association (HiMA):
WHO: Houston Interactive Marketing Association (HiMA) is Houston's
advocate for interactive marketing. Founded in 2005 by
executives from Houston-based agencies and corporate
marketers, HiMA is dedicated to increasing the awareness,
education and utilization of interactive marketing in the
Greater Houston area. HiMA is a non-profit Texas Corporation
501(c)(6).
WHAT: HiMA has recruited Chris Jones, Allison Gower, and Joe Devine
to host its workshop "Strategic Opportunities for Mobile
Marketing." These sales, brand and publishing professionals
will guide attendees through the key strategic factors of a
successful mobile marketing campaign such as research,
metrics, targeting and best practices. They will discuss case
studies and show examples on how to develop a message of
impact and how to use strategic tools to identify
opportunities for designing a successful campaign and guide
associates and clients through the process.
These three selected speakers will lead this workshop by
combining years of marketing expertise.
Jones is currently responsible for service offerings for the
mobile marketing space for the North American Market for
Novewave, a multimedia development firm with centers in India
and Malaysia. He has also held senior executive positions for
other organizations in areas such as business development,

Gower is the current chief executive officer of Qtags, a
mobile messaging company that offers a reply text service to
consumers who request information about a specific product or
special offers. An expert in branding for 10 years, Gower
served as top executive in companies such as BASF, Smith-Kline
and Sara Lee and came up with the idea of tagging content with

Devine is co-founder and publisher of the Houston-based Envy

Fees, which include continental breakfast, are $15 members,
$25 non-members and free for students.
Membership fees are $49 for students, $99 for individuals and
$399 for corporations with up to five members.
