Bob Hart Joins Cequint as Chairman
SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cequint, Inc., developer of advanced caller identification technology for wireless carriers, announced today that Bob Hart has joined its Board of Directors as Chairman.
“I look forward to making every contribution I can that helps Cequint and its carrier partners.”
Hart was CEO of Tegic Communications, developers of T9 - the leading predictive text application for mobile phones. Under his leadership, the company established commanding market share with wireless operators and OEMs worldwide, then was purchased by AOL.
“I am very impressed with Cequint’s technology and excited about the company’s patented approach to providing the answer to a major void in wireless – lack of a compelling Caller ID experience. Cequint is uniquely positioned to help wireless carriers drive incremental revenue from a ‘voice’ feature that works automatically every time the phone rings,” Hart said. “I look forward to making every contribution I can that helps Cequint and its carrier partners.”
Cequint is the creator of City ID™, an advanced caller identification technology that enables subscribers to identify unknown numbers by displaying the city and state of an incoming call. Previously, wireless subscribers were left guessing area codes and locations to try and identify unknown callers.
“We’re tremendously gratified by Bob’s decision to join our team here at Cequint,” said Cequint CEO Rick Hennessey. “Bob has a unique track record of identifying and scaling wireless opportunities. His involvement further validates the mass market potential of City ID.”
