John P. Landino Named Vice President of Physician Sales and Services at Tenet

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tenet Healthcare Corporation (NYSE:THC) announced today that John P. Landino has been named vice president of physician sales and services. Landino joined Tenet on Oct. 2. In this newly created role, Landino, 49, will lead Tenet’s innovative physician outreach effort and work directly with Tenet’s hospital leaders to develop and enhance physician-friendly services and programs. He reports to Reynold Jennings, Tenet’s chief operating officer.

“Our physician outreach program is a key element of our patient volume growth strategy,” Jennings said. “John is an expert at helping to grow physician referrals and building sales and marketing teams. He will assist our hospitals in communicating with our physicians and addressing their concerns.”

Landino is not new to Tenet. He recently served as a consultant to the company in his position of senior vice president at Horizon Health Corporation. He joined Horizon Health in September 2004. Prior to that, John served as a vice president of sales at Hill-Rom and held executive positions at OrthoRX, Axelgaard Manufacturing and Armstrong Industries.

Landino comes from a family of medical professionals. His father was a dentist and dental professor, his brother-in-law is a primary care physician, and two of his sisters-in-law are nurses. Landino has a bachelor’s degree in natural sciences from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He has also completed three years of courses towards a medical doctorate at Ohio State University College of Medicine before taking a leave of absence to co-develop a prescription medical device used in orthopedics and rehabilitation.
