Global Leader in Market Intelligence Solutions Creates New Syndicated Research Group; Reinforces Regional Sales Team
SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GMI (Global Market Insite, Inc.), a global market intelligence solutions provider with worldwide headquarters in Seattle, Wash., today announces the opening of its brand-new office in the Chicago, Ill. area, including the hiring of five new employees to support the region. The Chicago office will be home to GMI’s newly created Syndicated Research Group, and will also be focusing on furthering existing client relationships and spurring new business in the Midwest region through added sales and account management staff.

In addition to Cindy Griegel, account executive for Illinois and Wisconsin, and Steven Werner, managing director for client services in the Midwest region, GMI’s new Chicago team members include:
- Michael Allenson, vice president, syndicated research: a recognized and much quoted industry expert, Michael joins GMI to lead the company’s syndicated research group from Technomic, a leading research and strategic consulting firm serving restaurant operators and food suppliers worldwide.
- David Morgan, associate director, account management: prior to joining GMI, David served as a category manager/sales analyst for Modelo Brewing (Corona), where he helped Modelo understand and take advantage of their position as the distributor of the number one import beer in the U.S.
- Brian Berg, account manager: a Chicago native, Brian has utilized his solid technical and analytic skill set with companies such as IRI, Taylor Precision products, and most recently, at GC America where he worked as a demand analyst.
- Jeffrey Oberg, account manager: Jeffrey comes to GMI from Ipsos ASI where he served as a cost estimator for two years, an instrumental role in developing new processes and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy of the operational aspect of the business.
