Andy Doll and Leslie Svoboda Named Vice Presidents at Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company
NOVATO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Andy Doll and Leslie Svoboda have been named vice president and chief actuary for Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company’s Commercial and Specialty business units, respectively, according to Bruce Friedberg, senior vice president and chief actuary.
Doll is responsible for directing all actuarial resources in support of Commercial business pricing and product development. He joins Fireman’s Fund® from Winterthur U.S. Holdings (formerly General Casualty Companies), where he held a variety of positions during his more than 10 years with that firm. Most recently, Doll was vice president and chief actuary, directing the company’s actuarial and reinsurance functions.
He began his insurance career as an actuary with CUNA Mutual, later moving to the St. Paul companies as a regional actuary. A fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, Doll holds a Bachelor of Science degree in applied mathematics from the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh. He resides in Petaluma, Calif.
Svoboda, who joined Fireman’s Fund in 1998, is responsible for directing all actuarial resources in support of the Specialty business pricing and product development. She was promoted to her new position from assistant vice president and actuary for Fireman’s Fund’s Commercial business unit. Her 20-year career includes several years at USF&G and Geico.
She is an associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in math sciences from Johns Hopkins University. She is relocating to Chicago from the San Francisco Bay Area.
