LASON Joins Developers Network of IMS Global Learning Consortium

TROY, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--LASON, Inc., a proven provider of document management outsourcing and business process improvement solutions for document intensive markets, today announced it has recently joined the Developers Network of IMS Global Learning Consortium.

LASON is excited about our recent participation in the Developers Network of IMS, stated Karan Malhotra, Vice President and General Manager for LASON eContent MAX. Our goal is to actively participate in the eLearning community and to continually advance our technology solutions to provide cost effective, flexible, custom solutions for the eLearning industry.

IMS welcomes LASON as a valued member of the IMS Developers Network, comments Rob Abel, Chief Executive Officer of IMS. LASONs expertise in document management will contribute greatly to the success of the IMS digital content standards.

LASON is preparing to support the Common Cartridge standards being developed by IMS Global, continued Mr. Malhotra. This single source standard for multi-channel delivery will be paramount in the industry for creating a common platform used for importing courses into various learning management systems such as Blackboard, ANGEL, Sakai, Moodle, D2L, etc. This common platform will allow LASON to better service our clients by reducing production costs and offering interoperability, flexibility and quick time to market for eLearning communities. LASON is already providing Assessment conversions using Question & Test Interoperability (QTI) standards to publishing communities. It is our belief that market demand, content and technology advancement combined with our continuously evolving ACETmax process will provide a tremendous value to our customers.

LASONs proprietary ACETmax process focuses on Analyzing, Capturing, Enhancing and Transforming clients content, maximizing return on investment. LASON works with publishers to repurpose in-demand content into a digital, on-demand asset; transforming it into a key, viable revenue source. These integrated solutions help publishing enterprises, libraries and corporations to reduce expenses and speed time to market to deliver effective information products and solutions. Participation in the IMS Global Learning Consortium will continue to further LASONs advancements in the ACETmax process.
