Robert Gelfond Chosen 2006 Small Times Magazine Best of Small Tech Business Leader Award Finalist
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Robert Gelfond, founder of MagiQ Technologies was selected as a finalist for the 2006 Small Times Magazine Best of Small Tech Business Leader of the Year Award.
“It is humbling to be recognized by such an accomplished panel of judges”
The 2006 Small Times Magazine Best of Small Tech Awards recognize the best people, products and companies in nanotechnology, MEMS, and microsystems.
"The award winners and finalists this year truly reflect the diversity of companies and people that are shaping the MEMS and nanotechnology communities - from tools innovators to fabs to companies bringing commercial applications to a wide range of markets," said Patti Glaza, Vice President and Group Publisher of Small Times(TM).
Gelfond left a successful career on Wall Street to found MagiQ Technologies. He has managed to commercialize a technology that had stymied most others: quantum information processing. MagiQ was one of the first companies to market a product for quantum cryptography, which makes data sent over optical fiber virtually impossible to decode.
"It is humbling to be recognized by such an accomplished panel of judges," said Bob Gelfond, CEO and founder of MagiQ Technologies. "This recognition is one of many proof points this year that MagiQ continues to deliver on its strategy of providing uncompromising network security for government, telco, and financial customers."
