On the heels of the successful "Snakes on a Plane" Music Contest, TagWorld and New Line Cinema once again team up to launch the "Snakes on a Plane" Samuel L. Jackson Video Chat contest at www.tagworld.com/snakesonaplane. "Snakes on a Plane," which will be released worldwide on August 18th, has already garnered a strong online following. The contest encourages TagWorld members to leave a video comment up to 1 minute in length at www.tagworld.com/snakesonaplane stating why they should have the chance to Video Chat live with Samuel L. Jackson. New Line and TagWorld will then select the best video comment winner to chat with the "Snakes on a Plane" star.
TagWorld Desktop Video Chat
The desktop TagWorld Video Chat client for Windows can be downloaded at www.tagworld.com. The program can be used to chat live with friends even when they are not logged on to their TagWorld site. Rather than forcing users to input each individual friend into the instant messaging program, a user's TagWorld friends are automatically loaded into their expandable TagWorld Video Chat window. Members can see from their desktop which friends are online and ready to chat; then simply click on that friend's icon to engage in TagWorld Video Chat. If a user wishes to chat with a TagWorld friend who does not have a webcam, the users can still utilize the instant text messaging features.
TagWorld Web-based Video Chat
Additionally, members can engage in web-based chat with TagWorld members outside of their community of friends. Using the advanced search features on TagWorld, users can continue to find other members that share common interests and immediately engage with one another.
To use the web-based version of TagWorld Video Chat only one of the two members has to have the desktop chat client enabled. Both users have to agree to Video Chat before engaging. If a TagWorld member would like to Video Chat with another member who is not on their friends list, the other member has the opportunity to check out that person's website before opting to accept or decline the Chat invite.
TagWorld Video Chat provides the option to set preferences. Users can mute audio and pause video on chat windows in order to carry on several conversations at once without interference. Users can also choose whether to log on automatically, show their online status or be invisible, block users from video chatting or instant messaging with them and go to their own TagWorld sites directly from the desktop client.
