MAXjet Continues Growth; All-Business-Class Carrier Acquires Aircraft, Reports Growth and Adds Frequencies
In May, the airline carried approximately 3,950 passengers from New York to London Stansted, reaching an average load factor of 72 percent. Recent CAA statistics state that 5,500 people travelled between JFK and Stansted in May. MAXjet carried over 70 percent of this traffic and expects strong performance to continue this summer.
With almost 100 million US dollars in financing to date, confidence high and loads already significantly stronger than the Stansted competition, the airline is currently negotiating for its fourth and fifth aircraft.
"Our performance in New York shows we are the preferred transatlantic airline to London Stansted," said Gary Rogliano, MAXjet CEO. "We are also pleased with the performance of our Washington service. With the delivery of our fourth aircraft this year, we are planning to add a new US city to London Stansted, which we will announce in the near future."
In addition to the scheduled routes, MAXjet's VIP charter business continues to grow. The airline's unique intercontinental, widebody charters offer the luxurious amenities of its scheduled service on private trips for sports teams, major corporations, government entities and high-end travel groups. In addition the company has signed over 30 sales contracts with reputable US and UK institutions. In both the scheduled and charter passenger business customer satisfaction is continually monitored and the comfort, service and crew consistently rate highly -- 98 percent of passengers said they would recommend MAXjet to others.
The Washington D.C. to London Stansted route, which began on April 5, has been successful. In May, MAXjet carried approximately 1,600 passengers between Washington Dulles and London Stansted. Due to increasing demand, on June 29, MAXjet will increase its Washington service to five weekly flights with the addition of a Thursday departure.
For the convenience of its customers, MAXjet is currently negotiating packaged fares that will allow simultaneous booking of air and hotel rooms.
MAXjet is currently offering an autumn fare sale of only $1,199(a) roundtrip from either New York or Washington to London Stansted for travel between September 15 and November 10. Reservations must be booked by July 14.
