Attendees of Nanotech 2006 and TechConnect Summit Flock to Online Event Networking Platform
"The system allows users to find potential technology and financial partners, suppliers and collaborators from each event and then connect with one another and explore collaborative business and technology opportunities," said Matthew Laudon, PhD, Executive Director of the Nano Science & Technology Institute (NSTI). "This is a totally new system and we're very encouraged with the pre-conference registration and use. The goal was to provide a tool for these communities to interact before the face-to-face meetings but also provide the online community platform that would allow them to continue throughout the year. The system enables a global, 365 day a year, protected collaborative community environment."

NSTI Nanotech 2006 runs from May 7 though the 11th at the Boston Hynes Convention Center. TechConnect Summit runs May 8 - 9 and purposely overlaps the Nanotech conference being held at the same venue. Innovation and Intellectual Property surrounding nanotechnology is developing at a rapid pace and the technology generally impacts several industries and sometimes for very different applications. This synergy made bridging the two events an obvious decision.
Nanotech 2006 is produced by the Nano Science and Technology Institute (NSTI). The event is expected to attract more than 3,000 industrial, academic, and governmental attendees, as well as over 200 exhibitors.
