Business 2.0 Names Jigsaw to Its Next Net 25 List; Business Contacts Marketplace at the Vanguard of a New Net Revolution

SAN MATEO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 13, 2006--Jigsaw Data Corporation, the online global marketplace for buying, selling and trading business contact information, was selected by Business 2.0 as one of the "Next Net 25" companies that are reinventing the Web. The "Next Net" list, chosen by the magazine's editors, recognizes Jigsaw as one of 25 start-ups at the vanguard of the "new Web revolution."

The Next Net list is divided into five categories, including social media companies, aggregators and filters, voice over IP software, and providers of web-based applications and business platforms. Jigsaw was featured in the "Under the Hood" section, which is comprised of companies that are "offering themselves as Web-based platforms on which other software and businesses can be built or developing basic tools that make some of the defining hallmarks of the Next Net possible."

"The Next Net is deeply collaborative: People from across the planet can work together on the same task, and products or tools can be rapidly tweaked and improved by the collective wisdom of the entire online world," wrote Business 2.0 editors. Jigsaw leverages the wisdom of the crowds in its business model to solve the age-old problem of how to keep databases up-to-date. Jigsaw's peer-produced, self-correcting database is maintained by Jigsaw's members who continually add and update pieces of the data puzzle, making it the freshest, most accurate database of business contact information available.

Jigsaw started in December 2004 and in the 15 months since its launch, the marketplace has already grown to nearly 2.5 million complete and up-to-date business contacts at over 150,000 companies. The marketplace provides advanced search capabilities across 17 different criteria to make it easier to search through the constantly growing database and quickly find relevant contacts. It also simplifies the management of contacts by offering the ability to prioritize sales and marketing leads, schedule follow-ups and store notes for each of the contacts, as well as share the contacts within a group, creating a common pool of leads for sales or marketing efforts.

"It's an honor to have our business model validated by Business 2.0. The credit really goes to our members who have built and maintained the database," said Jim Fowler, CEO and co-founder of Jigsaw Data Corp. "This designation will help us in our quest to displace the established data dinosaurs."
