JMAR Names New BioSentry(TM) Sales Representative for the U.K., Ireland, and Belgium
ExcelFirst, located in Guildford, Surrey, will focus its BioSentry(TM) sales efforts on the municipal water utilities market. Robert Siaens, Managing Director of ExcelFirst, has more than 15 years of direct experience in the water utilities industry. Mr. Siaens was formerly Chairman of the Institution of Water Officers, an organization whose charter is to provide critical information regarding important water issues to its membership and includes all the major water utilities in the U.K.

BioSentry units are currently being tested in water treatment and distribution systems at both municipal facilities and aboard a major cruise line vessel. Over the next few weeks, new units will be shipped to two U.S. cities for water safety and Homeland Security applications, and to a beverage manufacturer for quality assurance testing. The BioSentry went into full production in November of 2005.
The BioSentry(TM) is a laser-based, contamination warning system that provides continuous, automated monitoring of drinking water. This unique system is designed to monitor, detect and classify waterborne microorganisms in real time, helping to ensure water purity to protect the public health. Prospective applications include beverage bottling quality assurance, water utility operations, cruise ship water monitoring, and homeland security for building water supply and water distribution systems.
