Livingston Nanotechnology Conference To Debut at Marriott Financial Center In New York City, December 7, 2005; NanoBusiness Alliance To Participate in First Annual Event
The conference will focus on nanotechnology's impact on five industries: health/life sciences, industrial/defense, energy/power, real estate/construction and electronics/communications. Panelists will include executives and nanotechnology leaders from companies including Guidant, PPG Industries, Pfizer, Lucent/Bell Labs, Teradyne, Medis Technologies, pSivida and Combimatrix. In addition, leaders from private companies including; Nanosys, Aspen Aerogels, Nanodynamics, Hellmuth Obata & Kassabaum and NanoOpto will participate in panels.
Representatives of the New York NanoBusiness Alliance and the Connecticut NanoBusiness Alliance (local area chapters of the NanoBusiness Alliance) will also be speaking at the event.
Alan Hevesi, Comptroller of New York State and sole Trustee of the New York State Common Fund, the nation's second largest pension fund, will be the keynote speaker.
In addition, Gordon Binder, former Chairman of Amgen and past Chairman of the BIO Industry Association and past Chairman of the Pharmaceutical Industry Association, will participate in the healthcare panel.
